4/6/2020 Week of April 6Hey everyone!
See below for the suggested learning activities for this week. If you are just tuning in, refer the blog post/Google doc instructions on how to engage in the learning activities for our class moving forward. With the new district guidelines, the week of April 6-10 will be the last week where submitting work will be optional as we finish up reading and discussing Born A Crime. You will notice Skyward updated with your overall participation "grade" during this time by Friday. Remember this will not contribute to your overall grade in the class so far. As indicated in the district and Liberty eNews, after Spring Break and starting on April 20th all students will receive online instruction, activities, and assessments that will be graded. That said, you are required to sign up for freeforums.net by Friday, April 10, otherwise you will be locked out of graded work after spring break. Refer to the blog post/Google doc instructions for details. For the remainder of this week, finish reading Born A Crime and do the following
Any Day This Week (and moving forward): The master board “Quarantine Diaries” is available for all to share your personal narratives about existing in a time of social distancing from all. I have included directions for what I would like for this to look like under the board, so feel free to add your comments and candid thoughts here. The idea behind this is to continue engaging with one another intentionally outside of class. If school were in session as usual, we'd be moving into a writing project similar to that of Humans of New York, where you would have had the opportunity to do some storytelling based on your day-to-day interactions with humans of Liberty High School. Alas, for now, let's focus on storytelling about our own unique lives as we continue to exist through this unique time! Comments are closed.
